Charles Paul Sammut has over 30 years experience in a broad range of patent, trademark and copyright matters. His current practice includes infringement and validity analysis including the preparation of formal opinions, patent litigation support, due diligence, licensing, patent prosecution and open source software issues. Representative technologies include digital signal processing, audio and video coding, messaging, electronic music distribution, user interfaces, RF and wireless technologies, mobile devices, consumer electronics, automotive electronics, analog circuits and medical devices.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Sammut worked as a product engineer with Ford Motor Company.

Mr. Sammut received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Indiana University, Bloomington.

Mr. Sammut is a member of the bars of California and Michigan and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is also admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
